Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (Yoruba)

Gbenga Oyelakin from Nigeria, West Africa, is a researcher, lecturer, an apposite teacher, and a facilitator. He considers himself a team player who loves meeting people and writing poems. He has co-authored and published manuscripts. Before his Fulbright award, Gbenga taught the Use of English (SER 001) for four years at his alma mater, Obafemi Awolowo University. Gbenga is also a doctoral candidate at the Department of English, Faculty of Arts in the same institution. His academic fields of study comprise English Grammar, English Stylistics, Sociolinguistics, Multilingualism, and variants of Applied Linguistics. Gbenga has multiple talents, such as being a compere, voiceover artist, dramatist, culture ambassador, and broadcast journalist. He is curious to learn about new cultures and significant skills.
