Friday, February 16 2024, 7:30pm New Dance Theatre (Dance Building) Directed by Jason Aryeh and hosted by the Department of Dance, SAGAexplores and celebrates Black history through performance and dance. The concert will be held on Friday, February 16th at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 17th at 2:30 p.m. in the New Dance Theatre at the Dance Building on Green Street off of Sanford Drive. With choreographic works that explores the African and the diaspora experience through performance, this high energy show will include performances by the UGA Dance Company students and guest performances by other universities, dance studios, dance groups and live professional African drum musicians. Tickets will also be available at the door one hour before each performance, however, advance purchase is strongly recommended. Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the UGA Department of Dance after 5:00 p.m., or at the South Campus Parking Deck next to the Georgia Center for Continuing Education for a fee.
